Thomas Braidwood Wilson is perhaps the most widely recongised of this generation of the Wilson family, and there is a relatively large amount of information about him online (see the comment below). The problem with this material, as with most 'recycled' historical information, is that there are significant variations in the detail of many of these sources, and it is hoped that over time we can begin to revisit the actual source material for his life story and tell the definitive history of this man. Thomas started out in humble beginnings, and through a life of effort and adventure, achieved much before his dramatic decline in fortunes.
